A Reminder
Q-mode packets (e.g. Queries) use a special encapsulation to probe the network
Routers need to pull the packet out of the forwarding path to allow GIST to take up the handshake
In the specification, the Q-mode packets (for current MRMs) use a RAO to help the router do this interception
This is basically the same as RSVP (for IPv4 and IPv6)
