The IESG and IETF have been quite active since the December IETF Meeting in San Diego, California: 42 Protocol and Document Actions, 42 Last Calls issued, 997 Internet-Drafts processed (most being submitted in the three weeks prior to the meeting), and 60 RFCs published.
Between the IETF meetings in San Diego and Minneapolis, 12 working groups were created:
· Web Intermediaries (webi)
· Middlebox Communication (midcom)
· Common Control and Measurement Plane (ccamp)
· IP over Optical (ipo)
· IP over Resilient Packet Rings (iporpr)
· Provider Provisioned Virtual Private Networks (ppvpn)
· Evolution of SNMP (eos)
· Provisioning Registry Protocol (provreg)
· Multicast Security (msec)
· Application Exchange (apex)
· SIP for Instant Messaging and Presence Leveraging (simple)
· Site Multihoming in IPv6 (multi6)
Seven working groups were closed down during the period:
· Roaming Operations (roamops)
· Simple Public Key Infrastructure (spki)
· ONC Remote Procedure Call (oncrpc)
· PSTN and Internet Internetworking (pint)
· Integrated Services (intserv)
· Web Elucidation of Internet-Related Developments (weird)
· FYI Updates (fyiup)
Additionally, 60 RFC's (37 of which were standards track) have been published since the San Diego meeting inMarch, 2001
