1.2 IETF Progress Report

The IESG and IETF have been quite active since the March IETF Meeting in Minneapolis: 78 Protocol Actions taken, 49 Last Calls issued, 741 Internet-Drafts announced, and 84 RFCs published.

Six new working groups were created since the IETF meeting in Minneapolis:

1. Performance Implications of Link Characteristics (pilc)

2. Reliable Multicast Transport (rmt)

3. Web Elucidation of Internet-Related Developments (weird)

4. XML Digital Signatures (xmldsig)

5. FYI Updates (fyiup)

6. Domain Name Server Operations (dnsop)

and four working groups concluded:

1. MIME Encapsulation of Aggregate HTML Documents (mhtml)

2. QoS Routing (qosr)

3. SNA NAU Services MIB (snanau)

4. Uninterruptible Power Supply (upsmib)
