IETF Progress Report

The IESG and IETF have been quite active since the IETF met in Memphis last April: 38 Protocol Actions taken, 49 Last Calls issued, 696 Internet-Drafts announced, and 52 RFCs published.

Between the IETF meetings in Memphis and Munich, eight new working groups were created:

1. TCP Over Satellite (tcpsat)
2. IP Payload Compression Protocol (ippcp)
3. Mobile Ad-hoc Networks (manet)
4. Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol (vrrp)
5. Transaction Internet Protocol (tip)
6. IP Over IEEE 1394 (ip1394)
7. PSTN and Internet Internetworking (pint)
8. Uniform Resource Locator Registration Procedures (urlreg)

And one working group concluded:

1. Humanities and Arts (harts)
