    Minutes

    1. The minutes of the February 22 Teleconference were approved. Steve
    to place in public archives.

    2. The IESG approved publication of DNSSEC and IPv6 A6 aware
    server/resolver message size requirements
    <draft-ietf-dnsext-message-size-04.txt> as a Proposed Standard, but
    with a slight modification. The RFC Editor will be requested to
    modify the following text:

    The current text: The IPv6 datagrams should be 1024 octets, unless
    the MTU of the path is known.

    Should be extended to read:

    The IPv6 datagrams should be 1024 octets, unless the MTU of the
    path is known. (Note that this is smaller than the minimum IPv6
    MTU to allow for some extension headers and/or encapsulation
    without exceeding the minimum MTU.)

    Steve to send announcement.

    3. The IESG approved publication of Conventions for the use of the
    Session Description Protocol (SDP)for ATM Bearer Connections
    <draft-ietf-mmusic-sdp-atm-05.txt> as a Proposed Standard. Steve
    to send announcement.

    4. The IESG approved publication of RSVP Cryptographic Authentication-
    New Message Type <draft-ietf-rsvp-fix-iana-00.txt> as a Proposed
    Standard. The IESG requested that the document title be changed to
    "RSVP Cryptographic Authentication - Updated Message Type Value"

    Steve to send announcement.

    5. The IESG approved publication of Request to Move STD 39 to Historic
    Status <draft-ymbk-std39-historic-01.txt> as an Informational RFC.
    The IESG also agreed that it was time to retire STD 39 and
    reclassify it as Historic.

    6. The IESG tentatively approved publication of How to Advertise
    Responsibly Using the E-Mail and Newsgroups or - how NOT to $$$$$
    MAKE ENEMIES FAST $$$$$ <draft-ietf-run-adverts-02.txt> as an
    Informational RFC WITH the security considerations text provided by
    April. April to send to the list and, assuming no one objects,
    Steve to send announcement.

    7. The IESG approved creation of the Site Multihoming in IPv6 (multi6)
    Working Group. Steve to make it happen.

    8. The IESG approved creation of the Application Exchange (apex)
    Working Group. Steve to make it happen.

    9. The IESG approved creation of the SIP for Instant Messaging Working
    (simple) Working Group. Steve to make it happen.

    10. The IESG approved publication of A SOCKS-based IPv6/IPv4 Gateway
    Mechanism <draft-ietf-ngtrans-socks-gateway-06.txt> as an
    Informational RFC. Steve to send announcement.

    11. The IESG had no problem with the publication of Requirements for
    Configuration Management of IP-based networks
    <draft-ops-ip-config-management-reqmnts-00.txt> as an Informational
    RFC. Steve to convey to RFC Editor

    12. The IESG had no problem with the publication of OpenLDAP Root
    service <draft-zeilenga-ldap-root-02.txt> as an Experimental
    Protocol. Steve to convey to RFC Editor
