    Minutes

    1. The minutes of the October 9 Teleconference were approved. Steve to
    place in public archives.

    2. The IESG approved publication of Simple Authentication and Security Layer
    (SASL) <draft-myers-auth-sasl-13.txt> as a Proposed Standard. Steve to
    send announcement.

    3. The IESG tentatively approved the creation of the LDAP Extension (ldapext)
    working group. If no issues are raised in the remainder of the one week
    review time period, the WG will be announced.

    4. The IESG tentatively approved the creation of the Usenet Article Standard
    Update (usefor) working group. If no issues are raised in the remainder of
    the one week review time period, the WG will be announced.

    5. The IESG had no problem with the publication of Hobbes' Internet Timeline
    <draft-rfced-info-hobbes-01.txt> as an Informational RFC. Steve to notify
    the RFC Editors.

    6. Harald is still gathering information pertaining to Registration of a
    Ukrainian Cyrillic Character Set KOI8-RU (an extention to Russian KOI8-R
    and ISO-IR-111) <draft-rfced-info-demchenko-00.txt> and Ukrainian Code
    Page KOI8-U <draft-rfced-info-tkachuk-00.txt>. Steve to request an
    extension from the RFC Editor.

    7. The IESG had no problem with the publication of Key Exchange Delegation
    Record for the DNS <draft-rfced-info-atkinson-01.txt> as an Informational
    RFC. Steve to notify the RFC Editors.

    8. The IESG had no problem with the publication of A Dictionary Server
    Protocol <draft-rfced-info-faith-02.txt> as an Informational RFC. Steve to
    notify the RFC Editors.

    9. The IESG recommened that MAPPING OF AIRLINE TRAFFIC OVER IP
    <draft-rfced-info-robert-00.txt> not be published because of its poor
    quality and because of the lack of a security section. Steve to convey
    this to the RFC Editor.
