Proposed Resolution of Issues (draft-ietf-nsis-qspec-12.txt) proposed by Dave Oran, Cornelia Kappler, & Jerry Ash modifications (in blue) based on list discussion & IETF-67 informal meeting on 5 November notion of QOSMs played down language e.g. 'QNSLP/QSPEC can signal for different QOSMs across multiple domains' replaced by notion that ‘QNSLP/QSPEC allows QNEs on the path to implement different data plane QoS mechanisms that meet QSPEC constraints’ a QOSM describes common capabilities among QNEs to act consistently when requested to admit traffic & in treating admitted traffic a QOSM ID need not be defined or signaled although a QNI normally includes a QSPEC corresponding to a particular QOSM a QNE need not support any particular QOSM |
