Eric Rescorla did a brief presentation on what the IETF
		expects for authentication in this type of application
		(that is, HTTP-based and using passwords)
	Main choices are Basic Auth under TLS and Digest Auth
	Basic Auth without TLS is *not* an option
	There is a difference between "mandatory to implement" and
		"mandatory to deploy".
	Mark Nottingham mentioned HTTP cookies and web forms as
		other alternatives but not ones he was recommending
