1.2. IETF Progress Report

The IESG and IETF have been quite active since the December IETF Meeting in Washington, DC: 78 documents were approved for publication, 71 documents were Last Called, 723 Internet-Drafts announced, and 66 RFCs were published.

Between the IETF meetings in Washington and Adelaide, twelve working groups were created:

1. Resource Capabilities Discovery (rescap)
2. DNS Extensions (dnsext)
3. IP Security Policy (ipsp)
4. Configuration Management with SNMP (snmpconf)
5. Internationalized Domain Name (idn)
6. IP Security Remote Access (ipsra)
7. Robust Header Compression (rohc)

and four working groups concluded:

1. DNS IXFR, Notification, and Dynamic Update (dnsind)
2. Domain Name System Security (dnssec)
3. Large Scale Multicast Applications (lsma)
4. Routing Policy System (rps)
5. Schema Registration (schema)
6. TCP Over Satellite (tcpsat)
7. The Internet and the Millennium Problem (2000)
8. Uniform Resource Locator Registration Procedures (urlreg)
9. IP over VBI (ipvbi)
