    o draft-duerst-archived-at-09.txt - 1 of 1
The Archived-At Message Header Field (Proposed Standard)
    Token: Chris Newman

The IESG recognizes this document includes examples that point
to real domains rather than example domains. Normally there is
a strong preference to only use fictitious example domain names
in examples, but in this case the feature is related to archival
infrastructure so pointing to actual use of the feature in an
archive provides a better example to the reader than a fictitious
domain would. The document was approved by the IESG. The
Secretariat will send an individual submission Protocol Action
    Announcement.

    5. IAB News We Can Use

    6. Management Issues
6.1 IANA Ports allocation procedures (Cullen Jennings)

The management issue was discussed. The IESG agrees to
the following three points regarding the IANA port
    allocation procedures:
    1. Do not allow registrations where service name (in the
keyword field of the registry or in the "short Name" of
the web applications) conflicts with the name for an
existing port assignment for a different protocol.
    2. Do not allow registrations where service name (in the
keyword field of the registry or in the "short Name" of
the web applications) conflicts with the name for an
existing port assignment for a different protocol. If
later a port is requested for the entry, it can be added
using the normal process for port allocation.
    3. When a port is allocated for one transport, don't reuse
that same port number for a different protocol that uses a
different transport. This policy will likely change at some
point in time but right now it is a safe policy until a more
    refined policy is developed.

6.2 Expert for RFC 4422 [IANA #98946] (Michelle Cotton)

    The management issue was discussed.
Action item: Sam Hartman to identify an IANA expert for RFC 4422.
