    Minutes
    -------

    1. The minutes of the August 13 Teleconference were approved. Steve to
    place in public archives.

    2. The IESG approved publication of Compressing IP/UDP/RTP Headers for
    Low-Speed Serial Links <draft-ietf-avt-crtp-05.txt> as a Proposed
Standard. However, this announcement can not be sent as this
    document requires both draft-engan-ip-compress-XX and
    draft-degermark-ipv6-hc-XX

    3. The IESG tentatively approved publication of FTP Extensions for IPv6
<draft-ietf-ftpext-ftp-over-ipv6-03.txt> (which does not yet exist)
as a Proposed Standard. Once the document (which is to clairfy
format and contents of the response string) is available and Thomas
sends a note conveying acceptence, Steve to send announcement.

    4. The IESG did not approve Internationalization of the File Transfer Protocol
<draft-ietf-ftpext-intl-ftp-05.txt> as it needed more work on the error messages
portion. Harald to document his concerns, and Patrik will convey them to the
    document authors.

    5. The IESG did not approved publication of FTP Security Considerations
    <draft-ietf-ftpext-sec-consider-01.txt> for publication as an
Informational RFC. Changes are required to the current version. When
ready, will be submitted as an WG Informational document.

    6. The IESG approved publication of IETF Working Group Guidelines and
Procedures <draft-ietf-poisson-wg-guide-04.txt> for publication as a
Best Current Practices RFC, pending revised text from Thomas and
Scott. Once received, Steve to send announcement

    7. The IESG tentatively approved publication of The PPP Triple-DES
    Encryption Protocol (3DESE) <draft-ietf-pppext-3des-encrypt-01.txt>
as a Proposed Standard pending an ok from Marcus. Once received,
    Steve to send announcement.

    8. The IESG tentatively approved publication of The PPP DES Encryption
    Protocol, Version 2 (DESE-dis)
    <draft-ietf-pppext-des-encrypt-v2-03.txt> as a Proposed Standard
pending an OK from Marcus. Once received, Steve to send
    announcement.

    9. The IESG tentatively approved publication of the following as
    Proposed Standards:

Definitions of Managed Objects for the DS1, E1, DS2 and E3
    Interface Types <draft-ietf-trunkmib-ds1-mib-09.txt>

Definitions of Managed Objects for the DS3/E3 Interface Type
    <draft-ietf-trunkmib-ds3-mib-09.txt>

Thomas needed to follow-up on an email message he received. Thomas
to share what he discovers with the IESG and, if deemed ok, Steve to
    send announcement.

    10. The IESG tentatively approved publication of Multiprotocol
    Interconnect over Frame Relay <draft-ietf-ion-fr-update-06.txt>
(which does not yet exist) as a Standard. When the updated document
is available and Scott conveys his approval, Steve to send
    announcement.

    11. The IESG approved publication of IP Header Compression over PPP
<draft-engan-ip-compress-02.txt> as a Proposed Standard. However,
this document depends on draft-degermark-ipv6-hc-xx being
    approved as well.

    12. The IESG approved publication of Multi-link Multi-node PPP
    <draft-ietf-pppext-mmp-discovery-02.txt> as an Informational RFC,
but with a altered title: Bay Network's Multi-link Multi-node PPP
Bundle Discovery Protocol. Steve to send announcement.

    13. Action was deferred on Microsoft PPP CHAP Extensions
<draft-ietf-pppext-mschap-00.txt> pending a Security Review. Once
either Marcus of Jeff sign-off, Steve to send announcement.

    14. Action was deferred on Terminology for IP Multicast Benchmarking
<draft-ietf-bmwg-mcast-05.txt> pending a Routing Review. Once
Rob signs-off, Steve to send announcement.

    15. The IESG approved publication of A Caution On The Canonical Ordering
    Of Link-Layer Addresses <draft-narten-canonical-ordering-00.txt> as
an Informational RFC. Steve to send announcement.

    16. A (hopefully) final set of comments will be sent to the authors of
Building Directories from DNS: Experiences from WWWSeeker
<draft-rfced-info-moats-01.txt>. Steve to notify RFC Editor that the
current version is not to be published.

    17. A new version of ACK Spacing for High Delay-Bandwidth Paths with
    Insufficient Buffering <draft-rfced-info-partridge-00.txt> is
anticipated, so Steve to convey to RFC Editor (along with an obvious
so please don't publish now request).

    18. The IESG tentatively approved publication of Job Monitoring MIB
    <draft-ietf-printmib-job-monitor-07.txt> as an Experimental RFC.
Steve to send announcement once Keith returns and gives his ok
(document was originally submitted for consideration as a Proposed
    Standard).
