    Minutes
    -------

    1. The minutes of the January 15 Teleconference were approved.
    Steve to place in public archives.

    2. The IESG approved publication of Multiprotocol Extensions for
    BGP-4 <draft-ietf-idr-bgp4-multiprotocol-02.txt> as a Proposed
    Standard with a note to the RFC Editor requesting the
    following text be appended to Section 7 of the document:

    Subsequent Address Family Identifiers (other than those
    reserved for vendor specific use) are assigned only by the
    IETF consensus process and IESG approval.

    Steve to send announcement.

    3. The IESG tentatively approved publication of IAB and IESG
    Selection, Confirmation, and Recall Process: Operation of the
    Nominating and Recall Committees
    <draft-ietf-poisson-nomcom-04.txt> as a BCP, pending a new
    version of the document with text clarifying when the new
    IESG/IAB members terms begin.

    4. The IESG tentatively approved publication of Use of BGP-4
    Multiprotocol Extensions for IPv6 Inter-Domain Routing
    <draft-ietf-idr-bgp4-ipv6-XX.txt> as a Proposed Standard,
    pending a updated version that incorporates changes requested
    by Thomas. Thomas will contact the document authors. Once the
    document addresses his concerns, and he conveys such, Steve to
    send announcement.

    5. The IESG approved publication of Benchmarking Terminology for
    LAN Switching Devices <draft-ietf-bmwg-lanswitch-07.txt> as an
    Informational RFC.

    6. The IESG felt that The Site Installation Handbook
    <draft-rfced-info-walker-00.txt> did not provide a material
    contribution to the community, in view of the existing User
    Service Area's Site Handbooks. Steve to convey to RFC Editor.

    7. The IESG tentatively approved publication of Advanced Sockets
    API for IPv6 <draft-stevens-advanced-api-04.txt> as an
    Informational RFC, pending Keith's review. When Keith
    completes the review and reports no problems or concerns,
    Steve to send announcement.

    8. The following documents were withdrawn from IESG consideration as
    discussions with the authors are underway, and revisions of all are
    required.

    o Finding Stuff-(How to discover services) [EXPERIMENTAL]
    <draft-ietf-svrloc-discovery-05.txt>
    o Introduction to IP Multicast Routing [INFORMATIONAL]
    <draft-ietf-mboned-intro-multicast-03.txt>
    o URI Resolution Services Necessary for URN Resolution
    [INFORMATIONAL]
    <draft-ietf-urn-resolution-services-04.txt>

    9. The IESG discussed whether the LA Plenary session should be
    scheduled for Friday (as is currently the case). Though some
    were definitively against a Friday Plenary, most were willing
    to try it once as an experiment (in LA).

    Fred and Steve to discuss, decide, and announce.
