    Minutes
    -------
    1. The minutes from the October 31 teleconference were approved. Steve
to place in IETF Shadow directories.

    2. The IESG approved publication of Definitions of Managed Objects for
    IEEE 802.3 Repeater Devices <draft-ietf-hubmib-repeater-dev-03.txt>
as a Proposed Standard. Steve to send announcement.

    3. The IESG approved publication of HMAC-MD5 IP Authentication with
    Replay Prevention <draft-ietf-ipsec-ah-hmac-md5-04.txt> as a
Proposed Standard. Steve to send announcement.

    4. The IESG approved publication of HMAC-SHA IP Authentication with
    Replay Prevention <draft-ietf-ipsec-ah-hmac-sha-04.txt> as a
Proposed Standard. Steve to send announcement.

    5. The IESG approved the reclassification of RFC1828, IP
Authentication using Keyed MD5, from Proposed Standard to Historic
    status.

    6. The IESG approved creation of the Roaming Operations (roamops) WG
    in the Operational Requirements Area.

    7. The IESG had no problem with the publication of Router Architecture
Extensions for ATM: Overview <draft-rfced-info-katsube-00.txt> as
an Informational RFC, but request the title be changed to:

"Toshiba's Router Architecture Extensions for ATM : Overview"

    8. Steve reviewed the current level of registrations for the IETF
meeting in San Jose: it WILL be crowded. Allison suggested
permitting the group chairs to "reserve" the first two rows of the
meeting for active participants. Steve to send a note to the WG
Chairs and BOF Chairs warning folks of the crowds anticipated, and
    including Allison's suggestion.

    9. Mild mannered Steve put his foot down, albeit gently, and stated
that any BOFs that have not provided agendas by Monday, November 25
will lose their scheduled slots, to be replaced either by WGs or
    BOFs with agendas.

    10. The Management Information Base for Frame Relay DTEs document
<draft-ietf-iplpdn-frmib-dte-08.txt> is to be returned to the WG
for them to add a Security Considerations section, the authors
addresses, make editorial/typographical corrections, and recheck
the mib after the changes to make sure it still works. A new I-D
    will be submitted.

    11. Action on Proposed HTTP State Management Mechanism
    <draft-ietf-http-state-mgmt-04.txt, .ps> was deferred. A new verion
of the document is expected which will clarify use of IP addresses
and domain names (qualified, fully qualified, or ambigious).

    12. Action of the DHC document set was deferred until more
    implementation experience information is required.

    13. Action was deferred on the VEMMI URL Specification
<draft-mavrakis-vemmi-url-spec-02.txt> due to objections raised on
the inclusion of passwords in URLs and other considerations.

    14. Consideration of Internet Registry Evolution (ire) was defferred
until it can be established who would be its chair.

    15. The IESG approved publication of HMAC: Keyed-Hashing for Message
    Authentication <draft-ietf-ipsec-hmac-md5-01.txt> as an
Informational RFC. Steve to send announcement.

With the approval of the above, the announcement of the IESG's
approval of the Klensin-cram document may also be sent (approved in
    September).
