    1. The minutes of the 26 May IESG teleconference were approved.

    2. Protocol Actions

    o The IESG approved

    - "SMTP Service Extensions" <draft-ietf-smtpext-extensions-01.txt>
    - "SMTP Service Extension for 8bit-MIMEtransport"
    <draft-ietf-smtpext-8bitmime-01.txt>
    - "SMTP Service Extension for Message Size Declaration"
    <draft-ietf-smtpext-size-00.txt> to Draft

    as a Draft Standard.

    o The IESG approved

    - "A Border Gateway Protocol 4 (BGP-4)" <draft-ietf-bgp-bgp4-10.txt>
    - "Definitions of Managed Objects for the Fourth Version of Border
    Gateway Protocol (BGP-4)" <draft-ietf-bgp-mibv4-06.txt>
    - "Application of the Border Gateway Protocol in the Internet"
    <draft-ietf-bgp-application-04.txt>

    as a Proposed Standard. The IESG also recommends that

    - "BGP-4 protocol document roadmap and implementation experience"
    <draft-ietf-bgp-bgp4-implement-01.txt>

    be published as an Informational RFC.

    o The IESG approved

    - "PPP Reliable Transmission" <draft-ietf-pppext-reliable-00.txt>

    as a Proposed Standard.

    3. Working Group Actions

    The IESG approved the creation of the following groups:

    o Internet White Pages Requirements - Applications Area
    o Access/Synchronization of the Internet Directories - Applications Area
    o DNS Incremental Xfer, Notify, and Dynamic Update - Internet Area

    4. Working Group Informational Documents

    o The IESG considered

    - "Acceptable Use Policy Definition" <draft-ietf-isn-aup-01.txt>

    for publication as an Informational RFC. Because of the wide
    applicability of the policy discussed in the document, the IESG
    thought it would be best to issue a Last Call for it to make
    sure that there is general community acceptance.

    ACTION(Stewart): Ask Jennifer Sellers, as ISN Chair, if it is
    acceptable to make a Last Call for the document.

    5. RFC Editor Actions

    o The IESG had no objections to

    - "T/TCP -- TCP Extensions for Transactions Functional
    Specification"

    being published as an Experimental RFC.

    6. Management Issues

    o Steve Coya reported that he had spoken with Raj Srinivasan at
    Sunsoft. He was informed that while Sun may eventually make
    NFS available for use to the IETF, it is only entering an
    agreement for RPC and XDR at this point in time. He is now
    waiting for the agreement to be signed and returned.

    o The IESG wants to be ready to take action after the IPng Area
    Directors make their IPng recommendation. In order to do
    this, procedural questions about voting must be answered
    ahead of time.

    ACTION(Stewart): Put the IPng issue on the IESG agenda for when
    Scott and Allison are present.

    o In Toronto, a room will be made available for IESG use in
    the morning Monday - Thursday. On Friday there will be a
    scheduled IESG meeting.
